Redesign and art direction for Germany’s best-known architecture magazine.
Baumeister magazine, a leading journalistic medium in the architectural field, was launched in 1902. An established platform for discourse on international architecture, Baumeister magazine dedicates each month to a new thematic focus. An annual feature issue is curated by leading architects such as Winy Maas (MVRDV), Reinier de Graaf (OMA), David Adjaye and David Chipperfield.
Herburg Weiland created a new visual design for the magazine in 2011, providing a timeless framework which can be adapted to suit the monthly focus. The magazine’s design is undergoing continuous refinement and has been the recipient of numerous international awards in recent years.
