Staatsoper Unter den Linden

After seven years of renovations, Berlin’s longest-standing and world-renowned opera house, Unter den Linden, now shines in new splendor. By introducing a new logo and visual identity, principal conductor Daniel Barenboim and director Matthias Schulz intend to build on the opera house’s impressive history while simultaneously positioning one of the most important cultural symbols of Berlin in the contemporary world.

The new corporate design, launched on opening day, draws inspiration from the State Opera’s passionate engagement and dedication to the highest artistic quality. The opera's voice is classic, sovereign, emotional and modern. It can be heard around the globe. Since its reopening, Herburg Weiland has continued to work closely with the opera, designing season previews, digital media and communication campaigns for special events and program highlights such as “Opera for All” on Bebelplatz and the 450th anniversary of the Staatskapelle Berlin.
